The Punjab Resource Management & Policy Unit (PRMPU), under the Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab, has announced one vacancy for Public Investment Management Specialist under the "Transformation of Punjab Resource Management & Policy Unit (TPRMPU)" project, advertised 4 August 2026. The post is graded PPS-10 within the project's Strategic Planning Unit (SPU) and is based at the Unit's Lahore office. The Specialist will strengthen the province's public investment management (PIM) system, including the development, appraisal, and prioritization of public-sector development projects.
Eligible candidates must possess sixteen years of education in Economics, Finance, or Development Policy, together with twelve years of post-qualification experience in public investment planning or public financial management, and significant experience working in or with government/public-sector organizations. Strong ability to conduct economic and financial analysis and to develop evidence-based investment recommendations is essential. The advertised age bracket is 34 to 55 years, open to both genders, and a valid Punjab domicile is mandatory; candidates without one may obtain it through the Dastak doorstep delivery service (call 1202 or use the Dastak app).
Core responsibilities include conducting project appraisals, advising on sectoral investment priorities, developing investment frameworks, and ensuring proposed investment projects such as roads, hospitals, and energy schemes align with the government's Annual Development Program and Medium-Term Development Framework, including Cost-Benefit Analysis and Economic Internal Rate of Return assessments. Qualification Required
