The University of Balochistan, Quetta, has advertised the senior academic leadership post of Principal, University Law College, Quetta, in BPS-20. The Law College is a constituent college of the university with a long tradition of legal education in the province, and the person selected will lead it in academic standards, professional development and the wider promotion of legal knowledge. The appointment is on a contract basis for an initial period of three years, which can be extended for another term if performance is satisfactory. The vacancy is open to candidates from all over Pakistan, so experienced legal academics, senior advocates and retired members of the judiciary from any province can apply.

The university has set four alternative routes to eligibility. A candidate may hold a Ph.D. in Law with eight years of law teaching experience or practice experience in a High Court, or a Master's degree in Law with fifteen years of such teaching or High Court practice experience. Retired judges of the Supreme Court or of a High Court are also eligible, as are retired District and Sessions Judges who have at least five years of judicial service to their credit. Experience certificates that clearly reflect the experience claimed in the CV must be attached. Applicants who are currently in service must route their application through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate from their parent department, submitted by the due date, or it will not be entertained. The advertisement itself does not mention an age limit.
