Director (Security)
WAPDA (Security Wing)— Ministry of Water Resources
Apply before 14 September 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has opened a fresh recruitment drive for its security leadership, inviting applications for one post of Director (Security) in BPS-19, to be posted anywhere across WAPDA's formations throughout Pakistan. Sitting at the top of WAPDA's internal security command structure, this senior role reflects the Authority's long-standing practice of drawing on experienced former military officers to protect its dams, power stations, and other critical infrastructure nationwide, and comes at a time when WAPDA continues to expand its security oversight under initiatives such as the ongoing 'Decade of Dams' program.
Eligible candidates must be retired Colonels or Lieutenant Colonels of the Army, or hold an equivalent rank from any other branch of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, with a maximum age limit of 52 years calculated as of the last date for receipt of applications; no relaxation in this age limit is permitted under any circumstance. Recruitment is being conducted purely on open merit with no domicile or regional quota restriction, and the position is open to both men and women, though in practice candidates will come from the pool of retired commissioned officers described above. Only medically and physically fit applicants who clear the required test and interview will be considered, and the appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for one year, including a six-month probation period, extendable on satisfactory performance and depending on the Authority's ongoing requirements; contract service under this scheme cannot subsequently be converted into a regular, pensionable appointment.
Interested retired officers must apply through WAPDA's testing partner, Central Testing Services (CTS), at www.ctspak.com, within fifteen days of the publication of this advertisement, and must pay a non-refundable test fee of Rs. 170 through a bank challan at any branch of Bank Alfalah, UBL, MCB, or Bank Islami, or via an online banking application. The completed application form, fee-payment receipt, and attested copies of educational documents, domicile certificate, CNIC, retirement order bearing SOS/SOD particulars issued by the MS Branch, and relevant experience certificates, together with two recent passport-size photographs, must then be sent by courier or Pakistan Post to the CTS office at 414, F2, Jeff Heights, Main Boulevard, Gulberg-III, Lahore; applications submitted by hand or received after the due date will not be entertained. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of their roll number slips through CTS's official channels, and all applications must reach CTS on or before the final closing date of 14 September 2026, so eligible ex-servicemen are advised to complete registration and fee payment well ahead of time.
