Manager (Procurement & Technical)
Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF)
Apply before 7 September 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
Pakistan WAPDA Foundation (PWF), the welfare organization that looks after retired employees and the families of deceased employees of WAPDA, the DISCOs, GENCOs, and NTDC, has announced a single opening for Manager (Procurement & Technical) in BPS-19, to be filled on a contract basis at its Lahore head office. The Foundation is seeking a dynamic, technically capable individual to strengthen and improve the efficiency of its network of workshops. The selected Manager will oversee procurement and material management across all of PWF's distribution and power-transformer workshops and petrol pumps, chair review meetings to evaluate workshop performance, provide engineering and technical guidance to Managers and Deputy Managers, and support the Managing Director on technical and procurement matters, while also building closer coordination with WAPDA, the DISCOs, GENCOs, and NTDC to grow the Foundation's business.
This post is reserved specifically for already-retired officers of WAPDA, the DISCOs, or NTDC, reflecting PWF's practice of drawing on experienced former power-sector officials for its welfare operations; candidates must hold a good service record and be no older than 62 years, with the contract running for an initial one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years or until the age of 65, whichever comes first. Applicants must possess a B.Sc Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical discipline from an HEC-recognized university, along with four years of experience at the level of Superintending Engineer, Resident Engineer (Power House), or Manager (Technical) in BPS-19 or above — that is, prior service at the rank of Chief Engineer or General Manager — with clear priority given to those who have hands-on experience in procurement, material management, and inventory control. Recruitment is on an open-merit basis with no domicile restriction, and the role is open to both men and women, though applicants must also be comfortable working with PPRA procurement rules and demonstrate strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
Interested and eligible retired officers should send a typed application along with a detailed CV, attested copies of qualification documents, CNIC, retirement order, and the order confirming regular promotion to BPS-19, to the Managing Director, Pakistan WAPDA Foundation, 1st Floor Haleem Plaza, 10-Temple Road, Lahore. Applications can also be emailed to secretary.pwf@gmail.com along with scanned copies of the same supporting documents. No application fee is mentioned in the advertisement. All applications must reach the Foundation on or before 7 September 2026; incomplete applications, or those received after the due date, will not be entertained under any circumstances, so eligible candidates are advised to apply well ahead of the deadline.
