The Aga Khan University, University Administration, Karachi has invited applications for the position of Analyst - General Accounts. The role is responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, preparation of consolidated financial statements of AKU and related management information, and assigned accounts payable sections of the department. Key responsibilities include approving local and foreign payments per the approved authority matrix, supervising staff who process payments, ensuring accurate recording of expenses per university policy, liaising with departments on reporting and payables, preparing and monitoring monthly financial reports, reviewing schedules for assets and liabilities, leading monthly/quarterly/annual closing activities, participating in annual audits, and preparing consolidated financial statements and management/board papers.

Candidates should be ICMA/ACCA qualified, or a finalist with 4-5 papers remaining, or hold a Masters in Finance or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant work experience. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Finance is required, together with sound knowledge of financial systems, accounting standards and withholding tax laws, effective communication and report-writing skills, the ability to work in a team, demonstrated leadership ability, strong data analysis skills, and a strong command of MS Excel and MS Word.
