The High Court of Balochistan, Quetta has announced a fresh recruitment drive for Additional District & Sessions Judge, a senior BPS-20 judicial officer post within the Balochistan District Judiciary, inviting applications for a total of fifteen vacant positions across the province. Of these, ten posts are earmarked for practicing advocates and five are reserved for candidates already holding judicial office or serving as law officers, making this one of the more significant judiciary recruitment cycles conducted in the province this year. Both male and female candidates are welcome to apply, and the entire exercise is being carried out as an initial recruitment strictly under the framework of the Balochistan Judicial Officers Service Rules, 2021, which governs eligibility, scrutiny, and the selection process for judicial officers across the province's district judiciary.
To be eligible, an applicant must be a law graduate from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission and must have practiced as an advocate for at least seven years, or alternatively must already be holding a judicial office or serving as a law officer in BPS-18 or above with at least ten years of qualifying service, exactly as defined under the applicable service rules. Candidates must fall between 30 and 45 years of age at the time of application, and, since this is a province-restricted recruitment, every applicant must hold a valid Local/Domicile Certificate of Balochistan; no separate age relaxation is mentioned in the advertisement for either gender, and both practicing lawyers and serving judicial officers/law officers are being considered together under the same advertisement, filling separate quotas within the fifteen posts on offer.
Interested and eligible candidates must apply online through the High Court of Balochistan's dedicated recruitment portal, jobs.bhc.gov.pk, uploading legible scanned copies of their attested educational testimonials, their attested and verified domicile certificate, attested CNIC, one fresh passport-size photograph, their valid Lower Court and High Court practicing licenses, and either a fresh Bar Council experience certificate or, for in-service applicants, a service certificate/NOC from their head of department along with previous appointment orders. Applications submitted through any channel other than the online portal will not be entertained, and no application fee is mentioned anywhere in the advertisement. Eligible candidates will be displayed after scrutiny of the submitted applications, and the schedule for the written examination will be announced afterward, with date sheets and roll number slips to be collected from the Examination Cell a week before the test. The last date for receipt of applications is 15 October 2026, so interested candidates are advised to complete their online submission well ahead of the deadline rather than waiting until the final days.
