First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) is hiring a Manager Core Banking & Applications for its Information Technology division at Head Office, Karachi, to manage the day-to-day operations of the bank's Core Banking System and allied applications. First Women Bank Limited was established under a special mandate to advance the economic and financial inclusion of women across Pakistan, and operates today as a State Bank of Pakistan-regulated scheduled commercial bank with a nationwide branch network. The role is responsible for keeping banking services secure, stable and uninterrupted, and covers oversight of production support, End of Day, Start of Day, month-end, quarter-end and year-end processing, as well as regulatory reporting and user administration. The manager will oversee production monitoring, incident management, problem resolution, change implementation and release activities in coordination with infrastructure, database, information-security, vendor and business teams, and will manage user-access administration, application security and audit observations to maintain compliance and proper segregation of duties. The role also involves coordinating disaster-recovery and business-continuity planning, and leading, mentoring and supervising the IT Operations team to hit agreed operational KPIs and service-level commitments. The manager is expected to work closely with the bank's infrastructure, database and information-security functions on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that core banking changes are implemented smoothly and that operational risk stays within acceptable limits.

FWBL is looking for a candidate with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, along with seven to ten years of relevant experience in banking IT, core banking operations, IT operations or production support, including at least three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Proficiency in core banking operations, EOD/SOD processing, production support, regulatory reporting, user-access management, ITIL service management and disaster recovery is expected given the managerial scope of the role.
