First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) is hiring an Officer Software Development for its Information Technology division at Head Office, Karachi, to develop, enhance, test, implement and maintain the bank's software applications and system integrations. First Women Bank Limited was established under a special mandate to advance the economic and financial inclusion of women across Pakistan, and operates today as a State Bank of Pakistan-regulated scheduled commercial bank with a nationwide branch network. The role is expected to deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions that support both business needs and regulatory requirements, in line with the bank's development standards, information-security policies and SBP regulations. Core duties include developing and maintaining applications, APIs and system integrations, analyzing business requirements and preparing technical specifications, performing unit testing and supporting system-integration and user-acceptance testing, and building interfaces between core banking, allied applications, and third-party or enterprise platforms. The officer will also troubleshoot application issues, resolve defects and optimize performance, maintain technical documentation and source-code repositories, and coordinate with business users, project teams and vendors while following the bank's software development lifecycle and change-management procedures. The officer is expected to work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to deployment and post-release support, while maintaining the documentation needed for audit and change-management purposes.

FWBL is seeking a bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with two to four years of experience in software development, application support, system integration, or banking technology more broadly. Candidates should be comfortable with application development, SQL, API integration, web services, software testing, version control and database concepts, and should bring strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and debugging skills along with an understanding of secure software-development practices.
