First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) is hiring a System Engineer for its Information Technology division at Head Office, Karachi, to provide first-level IT support to internal users across the bank. First Women Bank Limited was established under a special mandate to advance the economic and financial inclusion of women across Pakistan, and operates today as a State Bank of Pakistan-regulated scheduled commercial bank with a nationwide branch network. Similar in scope to the bank's Service Desk Engineer role, this position is customer-focused and technically hands-on, covering incident and service-request handling, hardware and software troubleshooting, user-account administration, and timely resolution of everyday IT issues while maintaining a high standard of internal service. The engineer will log, categorize and resolve tickets through the bank's ITSM system, install and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals, support Windows, Office 365, email and VPN access, and manage user accounts in Active Directory as per approved procedures. The role also includes escalating complex issues to specialized teams, documenting incidents and resolutions, assisting with IT asset management, and supporting device setup for staff onboarding and offboarding. Like its Service Desk counterpart, this role may also involve after-hours or on-call support so that IT-related disruptions affecting staff across the bank are addressed promptly outside normal working hours.

FWBL is seeking a bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with two years of hands-on experience in an IT service desk, help desk, or desktop support environment. Candidates should have a good working understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory and basic networking, along with experience using ITSM tools and ticketing systems, and strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills that hold up in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with remote-support tools and endpoint-management solutions, along with any relevant network certifications and prior banking-sector experience, is considered a plus.
