First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) is hiring a Unit Head - IT Operations & Core Banking for its Information Technology division at Head Office, Karachi, to lead the function responsible for the secure, stable and uninterrupted operation of the bank's Core Banking System and allied applications. First Women Bank Limited was established under a special mandate to advance the economic and financial inclusion of women across Pakistan, and operates today as a State Bank of Pakistan-regulated scheduled commercial bank with a nationwide branch network. This is a senior leadership role covering the bank's IT operations strategy and governance framework, oversight of End of Day, Start of Day and batch-processing cycles, production support, incident and change management, vendor coordination, and adherence to information-security and SBP regulatory requirements. The unit head will also lead disaster-recovery and business-continuity planning, capacity planning and operational-resilience initiatives, and will be responsible for mentoring and managing the wider IT Operations team while driving process automation and service improvement across the unit. As the most senior IT operations role among FWBL's current openings, the position carries direct accountability for the bank's IT operations governance framework and its alignment with both business priorities and regulatory expectations.

FWBL is seeking a candidate with a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, along with ten to fifteen years of progressive experience in banking IT, core banking operations, or IT operations more broadly, including at least five years in a managerial or leadership capacity. The bank expects strong proficiency in core banking operations, production support, EOD/SOD processing, regulatory reporting, IT service management, disaster recovery and information security, given the scope of responsibility attached to this unit-head-level position.
