KPITB is hiring two individual consultants as Data Analysts on scale MBS V to handle day-to-day reporting and monitoring work under its provincial data-governance initiative, reporting to the Senior Data Scientist from a Peshawar duty station. The Data Analysts will pull together recurring reports and dashboards from departmental data sources, run SQL queries and advanced Excel analysis including pivot tables, and build visualizations in Power BI or Tableau that let non-technical officials track programme progress at a glance. Much of the workload here is monitoring-and-evaluation style reporting rather than open-ended research, so consistency, accuracy and meeting recurring reporting deadlines matter more than novel analytical techniques for this particular pair of posts. The two Analysts will typically split recurring reporting workload between them and are expected to keep report templates and data definitions consistent from one reporting cycle to the next, so that trends over time remain genuinely comparable rather than distorted by changing methodology.

Applicants should have sixteen years of education with a degree in Information and Communication Technology or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university, with a degree in Statistics, Economics or Data Science preferred. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, reporting or monitoring and evaluation is required, together with demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot-based analysis, and hands-on experience with a business-intelligence tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus and will help with automating repetitive reporting tasks, and prior experience in public-sector, monitoring-and-evaluation, or development-sector reporting environments is preferred, since much of the output here feeds directly into government progress reports. Comfort double-checking numbers before they go into a report that a minister or senior official might read is treated as a basic expectation of the role, not an optional extra.
