The Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has advertised six regular posts of Driver in BPS-6 for the 40.8 MW Koto Hydropower Complex in District Dir (Lower). The posts are part of a twenty-vacancy advertisement dated 12 October 2026 for the plant's operation and maintenance staff, published on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Portal. Drivers at a hydropower station move engineers, technical crews, equipment and supplies between the powerhouse, the weir, the colony and district offices, often on mountain roads in all weather, so careful and reliable drivers are essential to keeping the plant running. With six seats available, this is one of the larger groups in the advertisement and a good chance for experienced drivers from Dir Lower to get a permanent government job in their home district.

The minimum education is a middle pass, and candidates must hold a valid LTV or HTV driving licence. Applicants with experience in the relevant field will be given preference. The upper age limit is 40 years, and under Regulation 10 of the PEDO Regulations 2024 the competent authority may grant eligible candidates relaxation of up to ten years in the upper age. Only candidates with a domicile of District Dir (Lower), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are eligible. Quotas for women, minorities, persons with disabilities, transgender persons and others will be kept subject to merit and the availability of eligible candidates. Shortlisting will follow the selection criteria in the PEDO Regulations 2024, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Applications without education and experience documents will not be accepted, and giving false information about domicile, qualification, experience or age will lead to disqualification at any stage.

The application is made on paper. Download the PEDO Application Data Form from the Jobs page of pedokp.gov.pk or collect a copy at the Resident Engineer's office, fill it in completely and sign it, and attach attested copies of the driving licence, school certificates, any experience letters, an updated CV, a copy of the CNIC and two passport-size photographs. Each post needs its own complete application, with the post name written on the envelope.
