About This Job

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advertised the post of Chief Technology Officer on a contractual basis at its headquarters in Islamabad. This is a single senior leadership role, and the advertisement states that the package will be as per NPS 10. The CTO will lead NADRA's entire technology function, giving strategic direction on digital transformation, IT governance, technology infrastructure and systems development. The role is also expected to strengthen organisational performance through innovative and secure technology solutions, keep IT operations reliable and efficient, and give strategic technology recommendations to NADRA's management and the Authority. Since NADRA runs one of the largest identity databases in the world, this is one of the most significant public-sector technology leadership positions currently open in Pakistan, and it will suit a seasoned technology executive with a strong security mindset.

To be eligible, applicants need 16 years of education in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information security or a related field from an HEC-recognised university, with degrees attested by HEC; a Master's degree will be preferred. The advertisement requires at least 15 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles with a clear focus on improving organisational technology infrastructure, as well as proven experience in leading and managing technology or IT functions in large public-sector, corporate or technology-driven organisations. The desired skills include driving technical development and innovation, overseeing software application development, ensuring strong cybersecurity, formulating and executing technology strategy that delivers real business value, understanding emerging technologies, knowing secure software development methods and engineering principles, and leading cross-functional teams with excellent communication and stakeholder management. The maximum age limit is 55 years, with a five-year general age relaxation already included, and the post is open to all genders with no domicile restriction.
