NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, is inviting applications for the post of Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the Thar Institute of Engineering & Sciences Technology (TIEST), Tharparkar. The post is on a contract basis and was announced by the Registrar on 5 October 2026 under reference DR(Estab)/(22)/6252, alongside an Assistant Professor post in the same discipline. Only nationals of Pakistan holding a Sindh domicile may apply. For young civil engineering graduates with a strong academic record, it is an opportunity to begin or continue a teaching career at a newly developing campus in the Tharparkar region.

Candidates need a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification of 18 years of education in the relevant field. A first division or CGPA of 3.00 must have been secured in all degrees, and there must be no third division anywhere in the academic career. Preference will be given to applicants whose Master's degree carries a specialisation in Geo-technical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or Construction Engineering Management. Equivalent degrees from recognised institutions are considered, and a foreign degree needs an HEC equivalency certificate. The maximum age is 45 years, relaxable for government, semi-government and university employees who apply through proper channel. No separate experience requirement or salary figure is stated in the advertisement because the appointment is made on contract terms.
