NTISB (National Telecommunication and Information Security Board) is recruiting two SOC Analyst L2 officers, PPS-8, on a contract basis, to work from its Islamabad-based Security Operations Centre, as advertised on the National Jobs Portal. This mid-tier SOC analyst role sits between the entry-level L1 position and the senior L3 tier also being advertised in this recruitment round, and is intended for analysts who already have a working grounding in SOC monitoring and are ready to take on more independent incident-handling responsibility. With two vacancies open, the post offers a solid progression opportunity for early-to-mid career cyber-security analysts. It sits alongside NTISB's other SOC-track vacancies — L1 and L3 analyst posts, plus a SIEM Engineer role — all advertised together and closing on the same 12 October 2026 date.
NTISB's SOC function operates on a tiered analyst structure, and the L2 role is specifically positioned to handle escalations passed up from L1 analysts while itself escalating the most complex cases further to L3. To qualify, candidates need a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, with more than 30 acceptable degree titles listed including BSCS, MSCS, MSIT, MCS, BS Cybersecurity, and MS Information Security. Certifications related to incident handling, SOC operations, or offensive security are described as preferable, though not mandatory, for this tier. On experience, applicants must have a minimum of 4 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years of recent, hands-on work specifically as a SOC analyst. The eligible age bracket is 26 to 40 years, and as with NTISB's other current postings, the standard five-year general age relaxation has already been incorporated into the upper limit, meaning no additional relaxation will be granted.
Eligible applicants should apply through the National Jobs Portal by logging into a PAK-ID verified account, or registering for one if they don't already have it, filling out the online application form, and uploading their CV along with educational and experience certificates. No application fee has been specified for this post. The application deadline is 12 October 2026. Analysts who already have practical SOC monitoring experience and are looking to move into a role with greater incident-response responsibility, particularly those holding or working toward relevant security certifications, are encouraged to apply before the window closes given the two seats available in this batch. Candidates should also note that all communication regarding shortlisting, testing, and interview schedules will be sent through the National Jobs Portal itself, so applicants are advised to check their portal account regularly after submitting.
