The Punjab Public Service Commission is recruiting 12 Assistant Accounts Officers (BS-17) for the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) under the Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, announced in Advertisement No. 11/2026 dated 9 October 2026. Of the 12 posts, 11 are on open merit and one is reserved under the minority quota, engaged on a three-year contract with posting anywhere within PHATA Punjab. This case is one of 13 posts spread across six Punjab Government departments carried in the same advertisement, which was published in national newspapers on 9 October 2026 at LDA Plaza, 7-Edgerton Road, Lahore, under the signature of the PPSC Secretary.

Eligible candidates hold a B.Com (Hons.), MBSM, ACCA, M.Com, Inter C.A., BBA, MBA or BS in Accounting & Finance, and possession of an ACCA membership certificate is a mandatory requirement for every applicant regardless of the specific degree route taken. The post is open to male, female and transgender candidates domiciled anywhere in Punjab, with an age bracket of 21 to 30 years, relaxable to 35 for men and 38 for women. Candidates who clear initial screening will sit a 100-mark MCQ written test covering accounting, finance and auditing. Candidates who believe a foreign or otherwise non-standard qualification is equivalent to the one prescribed above must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the Higher Education Commission or the concerned department's Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee at the time of interview, failing which their candidature is liable to cancellation; marks or percentage certificates for every degree must also be produced, as CGPA alone is not accepted. Any experience claimed in a private firm or entity must be supported at interview with proof that the organisation was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Registrar of Firms, or another relevant regulatory authority throughout the claimed period, failing which the application is liable to rejection.

In-service applicants should obtain their departmental NOC in advance, and candidates are encouraged to review the full published advertisement for complete eligibility conditions.
