About This Job

Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is hiring one Assistant Manager Monitoring and Evaluation (PPS-8) on a contract basis through the National Job Portal, based in Islamabad. Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and successful execution of project activities strictly in line with the project's approved PC-1 and scope, with a particular focus on tracking whether activities are proceeding on schedule and within budget. Duties include contract management (drafting, execution, and dispute resolution), assisting with submission and approval of cash plans and release of funds, ensuring procurements comply with PPRA rules and regulations, maintaining proper project records for review by the Director Projects, management, MoITT, Planning, Audits, and project committees, ensuring resource availability and allocation as directed by the supervisor, following up regularly with the Ministry of IT and other government departments on fund releases, convening project committee meetings and securing required approvals, issuing office letters/orders and meeting minutes, and performing milestone review visits alongside senior management.

Candidates need a minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in Management Sciences, Human Resource, Business Administration, Computer Sciences, IT, or Project Management, along with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in project management or monitoring and evaluation of projects, including a minimum of 3 years specifically on PSDP (Public Sector Development Programme) projects — a distinction the advertisement calls out specifically, suggesting familiarity with the PC-1/PSDP reporting cycle used across Pakistan's public-sector development schemes is essential. The advertisement also seeks strong knowledge of project management fundamentals (planning, organizing, budgeting, and execution), excellent communication and presentation skills with fluency in written and spoken English, flexibility to work as part of a team, and proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and other international project-management tools. A maximum age limit of 45 years applies, with no domicile or gender restriction stated in the notice, keeping the post open to eligible candidates nationwide.

Interested candidates must apply online through the National Job Portal (njp.gov.pk) using "Login to Apply" on this vacancy's listing page; the advertisement does not mention any application fee. The post was advertised on 4 September 2026 and closes on 19 September 2026, leaving roughly two weeks to apply. Contact details for queries — an email address, landline, and mobile number — are listed directly on the portal for candidates who wish to confirm details before submitting. Given the PSDP-specific monitoring and evaluation experience required and the relatively short application window, eligible candidates are encouraged to review the full advertisement on NJP closely and apply as soon as possible rather than waiting until the closing date approaches.
