About This Job

Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is hiring one Project Officer (PPS-8) on a contract basis through the National Job Portal, based in Islamabad. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Officer will carry out core project activities, planning, execution, and coordination for the timely initiation and completion of tasks, alongside routine project support duties. Responsibilities include facilitating the achievement of short- and long-range project targets, monitoring activity progress and preparing progress reports, drafting advertisements and Expressions of Interest/tender documents and coordinating their publication with concerned offices, assisting in the evaluation of bids and proposals and completing associated file work, performing milestone reviews together with senior management, and undertaking such other tasks and duties as assigned by management from time to time. The role sits within a small project team working on a government-funded initiative under PSEB, and the officer will be expected to keep the Project Manager informed of progress at every stage.

The post requires a minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in Management Sciences, Human Resource, Business Administration, Computer Sciences, or IT, together with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in human resource development, project management, or capacity-development projects; candidates with prior exposure to PSDP, ADP, or other government-funded projects will be preferred. The advertisement also asks for strong communication skills, hands-on experience with MS Project and MS Office, flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, solid interpersonal skills across all levels in a collaborative environment, familiarity with ISO standards and Pakistan's IT industry, and comfort with office productivity, internet, and email applications. A maximum age of 45 years applies, with no domicile or gender restriction mentioned, so the vacancy is open to eligible candidates nationwide who meet the education and experience criteria.

Candidates must apply online via the National Job Portal (njp.gov.pk), using "Login to Apply" on the job's own listing page; the ad does not mention any application fee. Posted on 4 September 2026, the vacancy closes on 19 September 2026, leaving about two weeks for interested applicants to prepare and submit their application. Query contact details — an email address, landline number, and mobile number — are listed directly on the NJP posting for candidates who need further information before applying. Given the relatively short application window and the specific mix of coordination, drafting, and monitoring experience sought, eligible candidates should review the complete advertisement on the portal and apply promptly rather than leaving it until close to the closing date.
