About This Job
Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the federal government's apex body for promoting the country's IT and IT-enabled services export industry, has advertised a single vacancy for Project Manager (PPS-9) through the National Job Portal. The position is contract-based and located in Islamabad, and the successful candidate will report to the Project Director, taking charge of planning and executing project activities strictly in line with the project's approved PC-1 and scope. Core duties span contract management (drafting, execution, and dispute resolution), submission and approval of cash plans, release of funds, and monitoring of the project team. The role also carries responsibility for ensuring procurements comply with PPRA rules and regulations, maintaining proper project records for review by the Director Projects, MoITT, Planning bodies, and project committees, reviewing consultancy and audit reports against ISO standards, following up regularly with the Ministry of IT and other government departments on release of funds, convening project committee meetings and securing required approvals, issuing office letters/orders and meeting minutes, and undertaking milestone review visits alongside senior management.
Candidates need a minimum of 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university in Management Sciences, Human Resource, Business Administration, Computer Sciences, or Engineering/IT, with a certification such as CISA, CISSP, ISO27001, or GDPR considered an advantage. On the experience side, at least 8 years of relevant professional work is required, of which a minimum of 4 years must involve managing capacity-building projects for IT companies; candidates who have previously worked on PSDP, ADP, or other government-funded projects will be given preference. The advertisement also calls for strong command of MS Project, MS Office, and international project-management tools, sound knowledge of ISO consulting/auditing and the ISO27001/22301/42001 family of standards, and excellent written and spoken English for donor and government liaison. The post carries a maximum age limit of 45 years, and no domicile quota or gender restriction is mentioned, keeping the opportunity open to eligible professionals nationwide.
Interested applicants must apply online through the National Job Portal (njp.gov.pk) using the "Login to Apply" option on this vacancy's own listing page; the advertisement does not mention any application fee. The vacancy was posted on 4 September 2026 and closes on 19 September 2026, leaving roughly two weeks to prepare and submit a complete application. PSEB has listed contact details (email, landline, and mobile) on the portal listing for queries. Given the short application window and the specific mix of managerial, technical, and donor-project experience being sought, eligible candidates are encouraged to review the complete terms of reference on the NJP portal and apply well before the closing date.
