The Department of Tourist Services (DTS) Punjab, working under the Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Department of the Government of the Punjab, is recruiting young and energetic people with a Punjab domicile for the Punjab Tourism Force, under advertisement IPL-10654. All posts are on a three-year contract that can be extended but will not be made permanent or regularised, carry a lump sum monthly package with a 10% annual increase, and may be posted anywhere in Punjab. The largest share of this recruitment is 32 Tourism Constable posts, split into 23 open merit seats, 4 for women and 5 for minorities, each paying a lump sum of Rs. 60,000 per month. Constables are the visible face of the Tourism Force at heritage sites, hill stations and other attractions, guiding visitors and helping keep tourist areas safe.

Candidates need a Higher Secondary School Certificate with at least a second division from a recognised board. Male candidates must be at least 5 feet 6 inches tall with a chest of 33 to 34.5 inches, female candidates at least 5 feet 2 inches, and every candidate needs 6/6 eyesight. The age limit is 22 to 29 years, with general age relaxation available under the Punjab government notification of 8 August 2016. Relevant experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must get a medical certificate recording all physical measurements, signed and stamped by the Medical Superintendent of the concerned District Headquarter Hospital or Mian Munshi Hospital Lahore and issued on or before the closing date, and must enter the same measurements in the online application. English and computer skills will be considered an advantage.
