The Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) has announced a large-scale recruitment drive for 1,010 posts of Sergeant in BS-07, to be filled on a district-wise basis across ten districts of Punjab: Lahore (300), Rawalpindi (150), Bahawalpur (90), Multan (90), Faisalabad (90), Gujranwala (90), Sahiwal (50), Sargodha (50), D.G. Khan (50) and Gujrat (50). Sergeants recruited under this drive will be responsible for enforcing municipal, traffic and regulatory laws within their assigned districts as part of PERA's field enforcement force. Applications are restricted to candidates holding domicile of the specific district against which they apply.
The minimum qualification required is Intermediate from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Candidates must be between 18 and 26 years of age, and the advertisement explicitly states that no relaxation in age, education or physical standards will be granted to any candidate, including existing government servants, and that the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation in Upper Age Limit) Rules 1976 do not apply to these posts. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a physical standards test in line with PERA Service Regulations, which includes checks on Body Mass Index (BMI not exceeding 27), minimum height (173 cm for male and 162 cm for female candidates), a timed run of one mile (within 7 minutes for male and 11 minutes for female candidates), chest measurement (32 to 34 inches, where applicable) and an eyesight examination. Selected candidates will receive pay and allowances equivalent to BS-07, along with a PERA Special Allowance, which is not admissible during the training period, in addition to other admissible benefits.
Interested and eligible candidates should apply online through the Punjab Job Portal before the closing date of 20 August 2026, selecting the district for which they hold domicile. A test/application fee of PKR 500 is payable via the PayZen/1-Bill Service using the PSID generated after submitting the online application. Applicants should keep scanned copies of their CNIC, Intermediate certificate, domicile certificate and a recent photograph ready for upload while completing the application.
