Senior Registrar (Emergency Medicine) - Trauma Centre & Emergency Department
Health Department (Trauma Centre & Emergency Department)
Apply before 14 October 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited applications for one post of Senior Registrar (Emergency Medicine) - Trauma Centre & Emergency Department (BPS-18) under the Trauma Centre & Emergency Department under the Health Department, as part of Consolidated Advertisement No. 07/2026 dated 8 September 2026 - a large recruitment drive covering eleven distinct positions across several departments of the Government of Balochistan. This vacancy represents a specialist clinical role in emergency and trauma care, distinct from the parallel PGMI vacancy in this same advertisement, and, per BPSC's zonal allocation policy, the one post is distributed across specific merit and zone quotas (Merit) rather than a single province-wide open pool. BPSC is the constitutional body responsible for recruiting officers and officials into Balochistan's provincial civil service, and every post advertised through it is filled strictly on the basis of open competition, written/MCQs testing, and, where applicable, an interview or Viva Voce, making this a transparent and merit-based route into government service for candidates meeting the post's eligibility criteria.
Eligible applicants must hold MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification recognized/registered by the PM&DC, together with an MD/MS/FCPS or equivalent qualification in Emergency Medicine approved by the relevant Specialty Recognition Committee and recognized/registered by the PM&DC. The prescribed age bracket for this post is 25 to 35 years, and both male and female candidates are eligible. General upper age relaxation of 43 years applies for fresh general candidates, persons with disabilities, and legal heirs of a Shaheed; government servants with 2 years' continuous regular service are eligible for age relaxation up to 50 years, and no further relaxation beyond this is permissible. A valid Balochistan domicile is required in line with BPSC's zonal recruitment policy, and candidates who are already in government service may submit their domicile certificate endorsed in their service record rather than a fresh one. The Commission has also made clear that the requisite experience for this post must have been gained in a regular, full-time paid job related to the post, and that part-time, honorary, apprentice, or internship experience will not be counted; candidates are advised to make sure of their eligibility in all respects before applying, since ineligible candidatures are liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment process, irrespective of whether the candidate has already appeared in the test.
Interested candidates must apply online through BPSC's Online Application Portal (bpsc.gob.pk/apply_now) before the advertisement's closing date of 14 October 2026 - no hardcopy application is required for this post. The prescribed application fee of Rs. 1,200 for this BPS-18 post must be deposited online via a generic PSID through 1Link Banking Channels, including mobile banking apps such as EasyPaisa and JazzCash, ATMs, or Internet Banking, or over the counter at a nearby 1Link member bank branch. Candidates who qualify the MCQs test will subsequently be called for a Viva Voce covering current affairs, general knowledge, and Islamic/Pakistan studies. Admission Certificates and Roll No slips will be placed on BPSC's website closer to the test date and candidates will also be notified by SMS, so applicants are advised to keep their contact details on the application form up to date and to check the website regularly, since no extra time is allowed for postal transit or any other delay. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply well ahead of the deadline to avoid last-minute portal congestion.
