The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advertised a contractual vacancy for the post of Assistant Director (Governance, Risk Assessment and Compliance) at its headquarters in Islamabad. This role sits within NADRA's information-security governance function and carries a notable emphasis on emerging AI-related risk: alongside monitoring compliance with established frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PKI/WebTrust controls, and performing conventional risk assessments and maintaining risk registers, the selected candidate will also assist with AI-system risk assessments, monitor generative-AI usage, large-language-model risks, prompt-injection risks, data-exposure risks and so-called "Shadow AI" within the organization, referencing frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO 42001.

Eligibility requires a four-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or an equivalent related field from an HEC-recognized university, with the degree needing HEC attestation, plus two to three years of post-graduation experience overall, including at least two years specifically in Governance, Risk Management and Compliance roles and one to two years of exposure to AI governance or AI risk assessments; certification in ISO-27001, CISM or CISA is preferred. The role additionally calls for a deep understanding of information-security principles, threat landscapes and attack vectors, proficiency in risk-assessment methodologies and risk-mitigation strategy, skill in drafting information-security policies and SOPs, and the ability to conduct ISO-standard audits and produce formal audit reports, supported by strong written and verbal communication for engaging senior management and technical teams alike. The maximum age limit is 37 years, already inclusive of the standard five-year general age relaxation.
