The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advertised a contractual vacancy for the post of Deputy Assistant Director (Junior Infrastructure Engineer) at its headquarters in Islamabad. This is an infrastructure-operations role in which the selected candidate will help maintain high-availability servers, storage and networking systems across NADRA's environment, working with Linux, Windows and Unix operating systems, virtualized platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V or KVM, and enterprise web and application servers including Tomcat, Apache, Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.

Eligibility requires a minimum of sixteen years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or an equivalent related field from an HEC-recognized university, with all degrees needing HEC attestation, and zero to one year of relevant experience, with fresh graduates explicitly welcomed. The role additionally calls for knowledge of shell scripting and automation tools such as Ansible or Chef, comprehensive backup and disaster-recovery operations including data-integrity validation and restoration testing, and the ability to proactively monitor system performance and resource utilization for capacity planning and bottleneck mitigation. The maximum age limit is 30 years, which already includes the standard five-year general age relaxation, and selected candidates must be willing to work in any shift given the operational, always-on nature of infrastructure support.
