The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advertised a contractual vacancy for the post of Deputy Assistant Director (VAS Operations) at its headquarters in Islamabad. The position sits within NADRA's value-added-services operations team, which supports the voice and call-centre infrastructure behind NADRA's citizen-facing helplines, and the selected candidate will be expected to work with open-source VoIP platforms, understand call flows, queues, IVR systems and monitoring dashboards, and help keep these production services running reliably around the clock.

Eligibility calls for a minimum of sixteen years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or an equivalent related field from an HEC-recognized university, with degrees required to be HEC-attested, and zero to one year of relevant experience, with fresh graduates explicitly encouraged to apply. Candidates should bring foundational knowledge of Linux distributions such as CentOS, Ubuntu, openSUSE and Debian, along with exposure to VMware, Ceph storage architecture, Git, CI/CD pipelines and basic Bash scripting and networking. The role also expects familiarity with core VoIP concepts such as SIP, RTP, extensions, trunks and codecs, the ability to troubleshoot common call issues like one-way audio, registration failures, latency and jitter, basic exposure to Docker and containerization, introductory Python or Bash scripting, and a working understanding of ticketing systems and incident/change-management processes. The maximum age limit is 30 years, already inclusive of the standard five-year general age relaxation, and successful candidates must be willing to work flexible shifts given the operational nature of the role.
