Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA)
Apply before 12 September 2026. Full application steps and eligibility criteria are below.
About This Job
The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has advertised one vacancy for Assistant Director (Digital Forensic & Incident Response) through the Punjab Job Portal, as part of an eight-post Information Security hiring drive intended to strengthen the Authority's ability to defend its digitized land-record platforms. Based in Lahore on a full-time basis, the role is a frontline incident-response position responsible for investigating security incidents as they are identified or escalated, and for turning forensic findings into concrete lessons learned and remediation actions across PLRA's IT estate. As PLRA's systems now underpin land-ownership records, transaction verification and revenue collection for the whole province, a dedicated forensic-response capability has become an operational necessity rather than a discretionary hire.
Applicants must hold a minimum of 16 years of education (Master's or Bachelor's Honours) in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a Cyber Security discipline from an HEC-recognized university, together with at least three years of post-qualification experience spanning cyber security, incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics or malware research within a large national or international organization. A recognized forensic certification - CHFI, eCDFP, CySA+, SSCP or an equivalent - is mandatory. The position is open to men and women aged 24 to 34, and Punjab domicile is required; candidates without one may obtain it through the Government of Punjab's Dastak Doorstep Delivery service (helpline 1202 or the Dastak mobile app) rather than being excluded outright.
Once on board, the officer will analyze endpoints, servers and network components for indicators of compromise, hunt proactively for threats within the organization's SIEM and related tooling, and liaise with system owners and IT contacts to secure evidence, contain incidents and drive remediation. The role also covers coordination with third parties during major security breaches and the ongoing maintenance of PLRA's incident-response process documentation to keep it aligned with current cybersecurity regulations and best practice. The Assistant Director is additionally expected to interface professionally with server owners, system custodians and other IT contacts throughout every investigation, keeping affected teams informed as containment and remediation proceed, and to compile clear lessons-learned reports once each incident is closed out. Interested candidates should apply online via the Punjab Job Portal (jobs.punjab.gov.pk), where the complete advertisement and application form are available; the post carries a monthly salary of PKR 145,000-150,000. Applications close on 12 September 2026, and candidates are urged to apply in good time before the deadline.
