The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has advertised two vacancies for Deputy Director (Security Operations Center)/L3 Analyst through the Punjab Job Portal, the senior SOC leadership post within the Authority's eight-position Information Security hiring batch. Based in Lahore on a full-time basis, the role is responsible for standing up and running PLRA's Security Operations Center at a mature, third-line escalation level, configuring the underlying SIEM, SOAR and network-detection-and-response tooling that the SOC's L1/L2 analysts rely on day to day. It is a natural senior counterpart to the Assistant Director L2 Analyst posts PLRA is filling in parallel, and is expected to set the technical direction the wider SOC team follows as its caseload of alerts and incidents continues to grow alongside PLRA's expanding digital footprint.

Candidates need a minimum of 16 years of education (Master's/Bachelor's Honours) in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a Cyber Security discipline from an HEC-recognized university, together with at least five years of post-qualification experience in information/cyber security in a genuine SOC role - Network Operations Center experience is explicitly not accepted as equivalent - including a minimum of three years working as an L2 or L3 SOC analyst. A recognized certification is required: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA SecurityX or CASP+. The role is open to men and women aged 25 to 40, and Punjab domicile is required, obtainable via the Government of Punjab's Dastak service (helpline 1202 or app) if not already held.

The Deputy Director will configure and optimize SIEM, SOAR and NDR platforms, develop advanced detection use-cases and custom log parsing, and lead investigations that correlate logs and manage incident workflows through to comprehensive post-incident reporting. The role also covers researching emerging threats via intelligence feeds, running proactive threat hunts using the MITRE ATT&CK framework and Cyber Kill Chain methodology, and driving continuous SOC process improvement and maturity planning aligned with industry security frameworks. Compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and best practice is expected throughout, and the Deputy Director is expected to bring extensive hands-on experience across both Windows and Linux environments, including a deep understanding of operating-system internals, network configurations and security-audit logs, in order to manage security events across PLRA's full technology estate.
