The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has advertised one vacancy for Assistant Director (Penetration Testing & Red Teaming) through the Punjab Job Portal, one of eight cybersecurity posts in a batch drive to build out PLRA's Information Security wing. Candidates require a minimum of 16 years of education (Master's or Bachelor's Honours) in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a Cyber Security discipline from an HEC-recognized university, plus at least three years of post-qualification experience in cyber security assessment, penetration testing and red teaming within a large national or international setting. An internationally recognized certification - CEH, OSCP, LPT, RTO or PenTest+ - is required, with preference given to OSCP holders. The post is open to both men and women aged 24 to 34, and Punjab domicile is required; those without one can obtain it through the Government of Punjab's Dastak Doorstep Delivery service (helpline 1202 or the Dastak app) before or during the hiring process.

Day to day, the successful candidate will run penetration tests across networks, operating systems, web applications, APIs, mobile apps, infrastructure, cloud environments and connected devices, and will design proof-of-concept exploits and simulate advanced attacks such as social engineering and phishing to test PLRA's defenses realistically. The role also calls for scripting proficiency in Python, Bash and PowerShell to automate adversary-emulation tooling, and for producing detailed post-engagement reports with prioritized, actionable remediation guidance for PLRA's wider IT and security teams. The role additionally requires validating that previously identified weaknesses have been properly mitigated through structured post-remediation testing, and working closely with PLRA's broader IT teams to strengthen detection and incident-response capability based on what each engagement uncovers.
