The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has advertised two vacancies for Assistant Director (Security Architect & Administrator) through the Punjab Job Portal, part of the Authority's eight-post Information Security hiring batch. Based in Lahore on a full-time basis, this is a design-and-build role responsible for shaping and administering the technical security architecture underpinning PLRA's land-record systems, rather than a purely reactive security-operations position. With the Authority's platforms now handling sensitive ownership and transaction data at province scale, having in-house architects who can design resilient, well-segmented infrastructure has become central to PLRA's technology roadmap, particularly as more district land-record offices are brought onto the Authority's centralized digital systems.

Eligible candidates need a minimum of 16 years of education (Master's or Bachelor's Honours) in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a Cyber Security discipline from an HEC-recognized university, along with at least three years of post-qualification experience working as an Infrastructure Administrator, Solutions Architect or in a similar capacity, backed by strong knowledge of network and system architecture and administration. A recognized certification is mandatory - Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer, CCNP Security or CCIE Security. The role is open to both men and women aged 24 to 34, and Punjab domicile is required, with applicants able to obtain one through the Government of Punjab's Dastak Doorstep Delivery service (helpline 1202 or the Dastak app) if needed. Candidates from Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering and core Information Technology backgrounds are all eligible, reflecting how closely infrastructure and security-architecture work overlaps with these disciplines in practice.

The successful candidates will define and drive PLRA's infrastructure-availability and IT-security roadmap, manage the organization's public-key infrastructure and encryption standards, and oversee security technologies spanning authentication, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IDPS, PAM and DLP. Additional duties include designing and deploying web-application-firewall protections, running security-hardening exercises and patch-management baselines, and leading incident-response planning alongside post-incident reporting - all of which demand strong analytical, project-management and interpersonal skills given the cross-team coordination the role involves. Staying abreast of emerging security trends and threat intelligence is an ongoing part of the job, so that PLRA's infrastructure defenses can be proactively adapted as new risks and attack techniques surface.
