The Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore, has advertised one post of Lecturer in Business Education with a specialization in Marketing/Marketing Management, graded BS-18, as part of a broader recruitment notice issued on 14 September 2026. The position sits within IER's Business Education programme, which prepares specialist teacher-educators for commerce and business-studies streams at the secondary and higher-secondary level across Pakistan.

Applicants must hold a BS or Master's degree (16 years of education) in Business Education with specialization in Marketing or Marketing Management, together with a first-class MS, MPhil or an equivalent 18-year degree in a relevant field from an HEC-recognized university or institution, with no third division anywhere in their academic career. As with IER's other advertised posts, only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview, no TA/DA is payable for attending it, and all appointments are subject to HEC's minimum eligibility conditions for the Lecturer grade, with foreign qualifications accepted only after HEC equivalence certification.

New recruits will be placed under the Punjab Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025 rather than the legacy BPS pension rules. All submissions, online and postal, must reach IER on or before the closing date of 30 November 2026, when the online application portal will close at 4:00 pm and no incomplete or late application will be entertained thereafter. Candidates whose results have not been officially announced by their Board or University before the closing date will not be considered, and the responsibility for the accuracy of all information submitted lies solely with the applicant. The Institute further reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts, or to withhold or withdraw any appointment, without assigning any reason, and all instructions issued by the Higher Education Commission or the University from time to time will be followed in letter and spirit throughout the selection process.
