The Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Quaid-i-Azam Campus, Lahore, is hiring one Lecturer in Technology Education in BS-18, per the recruitment notice issued on 14 September 2026. The post supports IER's Technology Education stream, which prepares teacher-educators for technical and vocational subjects taught within Pakistan's school and college curricula, alongside the Institute's parallel vacancies at Professor, Associate Professor and other Lecturer grades.

Eligible candidates must hold a BS or Master's degree (16 years of education) in Technology Education, along with a first-class MS, MPhil or an equivalent 18-year degree in a relevant field from an HEC-recognized university or institution, with no third division recorded anywhere in their academic career. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview, with no TA/DA paid for the same, and all appointments will be made strictly in line with HEC's minimum eligibility standards for the Lecturer rank; any foreign qualification will be accepted only once its equivalence has been certified by the Higher Education Commission.

Every applicant must pay the standard Rs. 500 processing fee, with an additional Rs. 3,000 required from Assistant Professor/Lecturer candidates via the prescribed bank challan or pay order made out to the Director, IER, and government servants must include a Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC with their application. Selected candidates will be appointed under the Punjab Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025. Both the online application and the postal hard copy must be completed before the closing date of 30 November 2026, after which the online portal shuts permanently at 4:00 pm and no further application will be accepted. As with the Institute's other posts, results not officially announced before the closing date will not be considered, and applicants are responsible for ensuring every column of the web-generated application form is filled in correctly and completely. IER also reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts, or to withhold or withdraw any appointment, without assigning any reason, and instructions issued by the Higher Education Commission or the University from time to time will be followed in letter and spirit throughout the selection process.

Fresh recruitments at IER are governed by the Punjab Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025; employees already serving on BPS who apply through proper channel remain under the old BPS pension rules.
