About This Job
Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC), the gas transmission and distribution utility serving Sindh and Balochistan, has opened a vacancy for a Deputy Manager – Analytics & Performance Management at its Karachi head office. The post sits within the company's Group Communications function, where the new hire will be expected to measure and make sense of everything the department does, from media coverage and public sentiment to campaign results, digital engagement, event performance, response times and the performance of outside agencies and vendors. SSGC lists this opening under Job Code 8592-01 on its own careers portal, and it is one of five communications-related positions the company advertised together this month. For candidates with a numbers-driven background who want to work inside one of Pakistan's largest public sector energy companies, this is a rare analytics role on the corporate communications side of a utility, rather than in finance or operations, and it offers direct visibility to the head of department and senior communications leadership.
On eligibility, SSGC asks for an MBA or an MS in statistics, together with at least two years of relevant experience. The company describes the job as one that relies on automated analytical tools, business intelligence techniques and data-driven methods to turn raw departmental data into practical recommendations, so strong analytical, numerical and logical reasoning skills are treated as essential, along with the ability to communicate findings clearly. Day-to-day duties include designing data collection formats, setting benchmark KPIs for team members and external partners, tracking agency performance against contracts, building dashboards and data models, and presenting periodic operating reports to the General Manager. The listing does not state an age limit, a domicile restriction or a gender preference, and no salary figure or pay scale is given on the portal.
Applications are accepted only online through the SSGC careers website. Candidates should open the Current Openings section, find Job Code 8592-01 and press Apply Now, which leads to the portal's login page where existing users sign in and new users register first. SSGC warns that any mismatch between the details entered on the portal and the candidate's resume will result in disqualification, so applicants should make sure both say the same thing. No application fee is mentioned. The deadline is 26 October 2026, so interested candidates should prepare an updated CV and apply well before the closing date to avoid last-minute portal issues. It is also sensible to keep the contact details on the portal profile active and to check them regularly after applying.
