Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL), Pakistan's largest specialized agricultural development finance institution, rated 'AAA' and operating a nationwide network of over 500 branches, is inviting applications for a Unit Head - Islamic Banking Operations at the AVP/VP-I/VP grade within its Islamic Banking Group at Head Office, Islamabad. One position is available, and the successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of Islamic Banking Branches and Windows across the network, from opening and relocation through to closure, while ensuring every step stays aligned with both Bank policy and State Bank of Pakistan regulations. The role also carries responsibility for translating Compliance, Shariah Compliance, and Audit observations into concrete, system-based controls that prevent recurring issues, for giving technical and operational leadership to Regional and Branch Management in support of the Bank's Islamic banking growth strategy, and for acting as the principal liaison between the Islamic Banking Group and the Bank's other departments so that operations across branches and windows run smoothly. The incumbent will also monitor end-to-end processing of Islamic financing facilities for strict adherence to Shariah-compliant structures and credit risk manuals, work closely with Regional Operations Managers on day-to-day operational issues, help integrate digital solutions and automation into banking operations, and contribute to staff training and human resource development as the Bank's Islamic banking footprint expands.

Applicants should hold at minimum a Bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized institute or university (national or international), and at least eight years of professional experience in banking operations, Islamic Banking Windows, or branch management; candidates holding specialized qualifications such as AAOIFI's CIPA or CSAA certifications, or NIBAF Islamic banking diplomas, are specifically encouraged to apply. Preference will go to candidates who can demonstrate a strong grasp of SBP's Islamic Banking regulations, the Shariah Governance Framework, Islamic financing products and documentation, and the practical work of converting conventional branches and portfolios (on both the liability and asset sides) to Islamic banking.
