The Indus River System Authority (IRSA), the autonomous federal body created under Act No. XXII of 1992 to oversee water distribution among Pakistan's provinces, is recruiting one Senior Auditor through the National Testing Service (NTS). The vacancy is part of IRSA's Telemetry Project, "Installation of Telemetry System for Real Time Discharge Monitoring at 27 Key Sites on Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS)", which WAPDA is implementing as executing agency. Staff hired under this advertisement will remain attached with WAPDA during the execution phase, the one-year defect liability period and WAPDA's subsequent two-year maintenance period for training purposes. The post is offered under Standard Pay Package PPS-06, equal to Rs. 105,000 a month, which is a strong package for a graduate-level audit role. It suits commerce and finance graduates who want public-sector audit experience on a high-profile federal infrastructure project.

To qualify, candidates need a second-class BBA, B.Com or B.S (Finance) that includes auditing and advanced accounting. Relevant experience and a higher degree will be treated as preferences rather than strict requirements. Applicants must be no older than 30 years, although upper age relaxation is available under Federal Government rules, and anyone whose minimum academic qualification is below second division will not be considered. The Senior Auditor will pre-audit claims, bills and invoices before they are approved by the Drawing and Disbursing Officer, and will help the Assistant Budget and Accounts Officer with assigned duties. Hiring is on open merit as a project employee, initially for one year and extendable on the basis of a satisfactory performance evaluation and project requirements, and pay rises by 5% each year. Serving employees of government, semi-government departments or autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel and attach an NOC from their department.

Remuneration Note

Remuneration shall be admissible as per Standard Pay Package for the Project Staff as mentioned against each post as per Finance Division (Regulation Wing) O.M. No. F.NO. 4(9)R-14/2008 dated 18th April, 2022 revised from time to time. Increment @ 5% shall be admissible annually.

Verification Note
