The Indus River System Authority (IRSA), the autonomous federal regulator formed under Act No. XXII of 1992 to apportion Indus waters among the provinces, has advertised four posts of Supervisor (Electronics/Electrical) through the National Testing Service (NTS). The posts are part of IRSA's Telemetry Project, "Installation of Telemetry System for Real Time Discharge Monitoring at 27 Key Sites on Indus Basin Irrigation System (IBIS)", for which WAPDA is the executing agency. People hired under this advertisement will be attached with WAPDA during execution, the one-year defect liability period, and WAPDA's two-year maintenance period afterwards for training. The post carries Standard Pay Package PPS-05, which is Rs. 70,000 per month, and postings or transfers can be made anywhere at the project sites in Pakistan. Applicants need a DAE in Electronics, Telecom, Electrical or Power from a recognised institution and at least five years of hands-on experience with SCADA, telemetry, electrical control systems or data-centre equipment, including installation, testing, commissioning and operation and maintenance. A higher degree will be preferred. The maximum age is 30 years, with upper age relaxation under Federal Government rules, and no one whose minimum academic qualification is below second division will be considered. The Supervisor will assist the Programmer and Monitoring Assistant of the Data Management Team in data-centre operations and will detect and fix faults by following the operation and maintenance manuals. The appointment is on open merit as a project employee, initially for one year and extendable after a satisfactory performance evaluation and in line with project requirements, with a 5% annual increment. Candidates already employed in government, semi-government departments or autonomous bodies must route their application through proper channel with an NOC from their employer.

Remuneration Note
